Hello! I’m Natalie Rotman Cote, a photographer with 25+ years of experience specializing in nature photography. I’ve taken thousands of flower photos and developed a simple, approachable process to help you create stunning images—no complicated gear needed! I’d love to share it with you.
In this one-hour demonstration, split into three pre-recorded videos, I’ll walk you through a flower photography session—from shooting to selecting and editing the final image.

First, we go through a live photography session where I take photos of the Blue Irises in my yard. We review what I think about and how I go about composing my shots.

Next, we start our editing demo by reviewing the photos from the photo shoot. We pick one to edit.

Lastly, we edit the selected photo to create a stunning Iris flower image.

Note: I use Adobe Lightroom Classic on my pc computer for this editing demo. The editing concepts shared in this demo apply to many editing apps. Other apps will look different from Lightroom but the basics of the demo apply to most apps.
Here are a few of my favorite flower images. I use both my Canon R6 camera and my iPhone. Both take great photos!
